As the CEO of your company, having a hundred items on your to-do list is overwhelmingly normal. But what probably stands out most are the decision-making tasks you have to follow to grow the establishment of your brand. Whether it’s constantly brainstorming about how you’re going to generate revenue, how you’ll scale-out your products/services for release, or share a new marketing vision with your team, it can all be perplexing and intense.

At Kareracter, we have helped save many CEOs and entrepreneurs who struggled with discovering the best development strategy for their business. We call this freeing concept mind-mapping, which is a brand planner and problem-solution tool we use on Kareracter Club members and our own agency. It’s a powerful visualization tool where you see your ideas translate to digestible graphics that help you not only manifest your ideas but also organize your thoughts.

Whether it’s problems with the business, specific areas with business, or personal thoughts, mind-mapping your conflicts on paper is not only a good method visually but it also allows you to connect you to a potential solution.

Here’s what you need to get started:

Start on a blank canvas! Doodle your thoughts, illustrate it, write it out. Using colored markers, highlighters, pens, and listening to your favorite playlist while mind-mapping can also boost your creativity and unclog your mind. PRO TIP: If you prefer digital note-taking, download the WeTransfer sketching app Paper or grab your stylus and doodle on your device.

There are three categories of reflection questions that will help you pivot when strategizing your next move with mind-mapping.

1. Questions for personal reflection:

  • Am I showing up for myself in the manner that I need?

  • Am I setting a healthy work balance?

  • What are the top uncompromising work boundaries that I will implement with clients and team members?

  • How will I respond to the challenges of operating my business?

2. Questions for business growth and development:

  • What values will my brand reflect?

  • What is my long-term plan for my business?

  • How do I plan to stay ahead of my competition?

  • What can I techniques can I implement to make my business stand out above my competitors?

  • Do I have my team in the right place to add value efficiently and effectively?

3. Questions about your work environment:

  • How can I be of service to myself?

  • How can I be of service to my team?

  • How can I be of service to customers?

  • What ways can I invest in my growth as a leader?

  • In what ways can I invest in the growth of my team?

Now, you should reflect on any questions that resonate with you and answer according to your own judgment and at your own pace.
