Kareracter served as the creative director for Therapy for Black Girls' inaugural annual summit, Holding Space for Healers — a landmark gathering celebrating the mental health professionals dedicated to the well-being of Black women and girls. We led the full creative vision from concept to execution, shaping the event's visual identity, stage design, branded environments, and attendee experience. Every touchpoint was intentionally designed to reflect the gravity and grace of the work these healers do — from immersive spatial moments that honored their journey to a cohesive visual language that elevated the summit to a world-class standard. The result was a signature event experience that matched the cultural significance of the movement behind it.

  • In our time working together at Therapy for Black Girls, Karen succinctly and proficiently married her love for creativity and design with her excellence as a project manager and strategic executor. Karen inspires her colleagues to dream beyond the status quo while also pushing the team towards strengthening workflows, streamlining processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance cross-departmental collaboration. Karen's eye for and approach to design is unlike anything I've ever come across in the traditional graphic designer or creative director. In our ever-evolving digital world where real human impact has become secondary to the optimism of human-powered tech, Karen is the multifaceted creative who is incomparable, irreplaceable, and an invaluable asset to any organization seeking longevity as a well-defined brand.
